update

I have been working on 'Sunlit' by Blackbird Designs. The fabric and colors are so beautiful. It is a real pleasure to stitch. Last night (while watching 300), I finished 'Against Every Sin.' I cannot wait to start something new, but feel a bit overwhelmed. Now that homeschool has started up again in earnest (did it ever really stop?) I wonder if I will have as much time to stitch as I have over the summer. My mom and I went a bit crazy ordering from Stitching Bits and Bobs. They are having a sale until this Wednesday. I ordered 'Trix and Treats' by Blackbird Designs. I would like to start something from that. And I just won 'Pretty Pumpkins" by Homespun Elegance that Tanya listed on ebay! But for this morning, it is back to math... Does teaching Mary Margaret (6 1/2 years old) to cross stitch count as 'school' for the Georgia attendance records? It would have at one time, that's for sure.

Very nice pieces, the colors are gorgeous. I'd definitely count teaching cross stitch as an art class.

I like the bunnies in the lawn on that one :) I homeschool in Missouri and we can have 400 hours of "whatever"... I wish my daughter were interested in needlework classes!

Did you like 300? I personally didn't. I hemmed uniform sleeves while I watched! haha Stitching looks great, I would hope that cross stitching would count for something. School starts on the 13th of August for us.

Michele your samplers are beautiful! I also have the newest BD, and looking at yours makes me want to start it. But, I must finish other things first.

I think stitching should count for school! After all you do have to count. A fun math course for sure.

Oh, Michele... I love BBD's Beneath the Sunlit Sky... I'm hoping to start it soon. Yours is coming along beautifully! :-)

Against Every Sin is gorgeous! I haven't seen that particular one by Sheepish Designs before, or at least I don't remember seeing it... I'll have to go hunting for it now as I just love yours! :-)

And I must say, your Roses are breath-taking!!! They are my favourite flower by far and yours are just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing... :-)

In my opinion, I think needle-art should be taught in schools again... I don't see why you couldn't count it as some type of *class*...

Oh, and I've watched *300* three times since it came out last week... I thought it was awesome, but then, I Love most any type of *period* film... ;-)

I've enjoyed wandering around your blog... your stitching is lovely as are your garden posts...
