This is a picture of our front room. It is supposed to be a dining room, but we decided to use it as a library. We had a quick family tidy-up this morning, and I am very pleased with this room. Ursa is pleased with it also! This is her favorite room. In the evenings, we say family prayers in this room. Ursa always comes in for prayers and nuzzles us. Our cat Merlin, The Heart of Darkness, also comes in while we say prayers- he plants himself between us and our home altar and cleans his nether region - vigorously. Jerry and I think it is good training for the children to learn to pray amid distractions! ;)
I hope you all enjoy your weekends!
Beautiful progress! You are making me want to go pull floss for this one.
ReplyDeleteIt is very windy here too.
have a great weekend!
I love the idea of using a dining room as a library. One of my favorite designers, Alexandra Stoddard, has lined her dining room with bookshelves and uses two small round tables as work/dining tables.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress! I love this one and so want to start on it!
ReplyDeleteI think this is looking really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like your family praying together in the prayer/library room. That's really cool. I hope as your girls grow it never changes. I remember when our son decided he "outgrew" praying together and decided to have his prayer time privately. *sigh*
Great start and so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe made our dining room into our library and DH computer area. It's worked beautifully for us.
I love the border on this sampler - lovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing so hard about Merlin!! Too funny. I love the idea of having a library--much more functional than a fussy dining room!
ReplyDeleteI love your start on Susan Rambo! I am jonesing to stitch this one, too, but have to get a few other things finished.
hey Michelle, I'm trying to contact you but have not got you in my address book. Can you email me at jennifer.dalenberg@yahoo.com? Thanks so much
