Happy Easter!

I am finally getting around to posting some pictures of 'Susan Rambo.' I'm not sure why I felt the need to change some of the DMC colors, because now it seems I am constantly adjusting!
I am blogging right now because this little angel is now sitting at the table refusing to eat her lunch because it is 'horrible poison.' Ahem.
Nutmeg received the Sacrament of Confirmation yesterday. It was a beautiful Easter Day! I somehow managed to take a few pictures of my daughters and nieces without smears of chocolate!

Saturday

Happy Saturday! This is the sunniest, windiest day ever! I have never seen such wind without a tornado watch. It was not the best day for yard work, but it had to be done. I came in an hour ago with dirt in every pore! Jerry and Buttercup are still out there. I feel a bit guilty inside watching 'I Love Lucy' with Nutmeg, but I will get over it. ;) I need to put some more work into Susan Rambo. I am starting to wonder why I started such a huge project!

This is a picture of our front room. It is supposed to be a dining room, but we decided to use it as a library. We had a quick family tidy-up this morning, and I am very pleased with this room. Ursa is pleased with it also! This is her favorite room. In the evenings, we say family prayers in this room. Ursa always comes in for prayers and nuzzles us. Our cat Merlin, The Heart of Darkness, also comes in while we say prayers- he plants himself between us and our home altar and cleans his nether region - vigorously. Jerry and I think it is good training for the children to learn to pray amid distractions! ;)

I hope you all enjoy your weekends!

And the Winner is...

Congratulations to Ellen! Send me your address, and the Virtues chart will be headed your way! :)

Rambo

I started 'Ann Pennsylvannia Peacock on 35 ct, then quickly remembered why I don't like 35 ct: 2 threads = 2 thick, 1 thread = 2 skimpy. So I started Susan Rambo on 40 ct exemplar. Ahhhh...feels good! I am using the given DMC conversion - mostly. I always fall in love with the colors in the photograph which are not always the actual colors. The greens in this sampler are definitely soft blue-greens. I am trying 50, 501, and 502, but I am still playing with the combination. Please don't tell me how awesome silk threads are! ;) I am not ready to take that plunge!

Tomorrow morning, I will be drawing a name for the Sheepish Designs chart on the the previous post. Leave a comment there to be entered!
