Rambo

I started 'Ann Pennsylvannia Peacock on 35 ct, then quickly remembered why I don't like 35 ct: 2 threads = 2 thick, 1 thread = 2 skimpy. So I started Susan Rambo on 40 ct exemplar. Ahhhh...feels good! I am using the given DMC conversion - mostly. I always fall in love with the colors in the photograph which are not always the actual colors. The greens in this sampler are definitely soft blue-greens. I am trying 50, 501, and 502, but I am still playing with the combination. Please don't tell me how awesome silk threads are! ;) I am not ready to take that plunge!

Tomorrow morning, I will be drawing a name for the Sheepish Designs chart on the the previous post. Leave a comment there to be entered!

Great start Michele! I so know what you mean about 35 & 36 ct. linen. I guess it's why I stitch on 40 ct. a lot (no guesswork). :)

looks great! I know exactly what you mean, even some 32 count, 2 threads look too thick. But bless your heart for the 40 ct. Wear glasses yet??? ;)

I like silk, but sometimes DMC is definitely the way to go. This looks lovely so far. I can't wait to see the progress.
