The Pond

We went to a pond this morning to do some work on our pond unit. It is in a neighborhood, and it may be to well- "manicured" to find any great stuff. We saw ducks and geese, but no frogs or turtles. We found a gall on a blackberry bramble, so we will do a bit of research on that. Nutmeg and her friend fought over the one siringe. They just liked collecting water! We looked at the water under a microscope. I read aloud from "The Pond People." What great book! Thanks to Jessica at Trivium Academy for recommending it.

I am a great beiever you can find wildlife everywhere. I love your photos. I hope you find more and more as the seasons go on. Dragonflies can be wonderful to spot in the summer on still, warm days.
